Starting in 2023, the New York Longhorns, Inc. has instituted a program to award multiple $1,000 one-time scholarships to local high school Senior Baseball players that embody the ideals of excellence.

This scholarship is meant to recognize a Senior baseball player that leaves it all out on the field every practice and game, and serves as a great example to teammates and peers. This player is the first to arrive, the last to leave, and is always putting in extra work in the classroom, gym, batting cage, and on the field.

During this holiday season, the New York Longhorns, Inc. will be supporting the John Theissen Children's Foundation as a Holiday Wish Sponsor. 

This foundation has been helping sick and underprivileged children across Long Island since 1992. Among other programs, the foundation has donated well over one million new gifts through its holiday toy and gift drive.

The foundation has been voted Best Charity on Long Island for ten years in a row through the Long Island Press and Bethpage Federal Credit Union’s Best of Long Island Contest.
